A six year old Jack Russell.
The dog had severe bite wounds, was bleeding and in shock. The muscles were minced. The wounds were surgically cleaned and the dog stabilized. Photizo light therapy was started immediately. The dog was brought back with severe swelling and accumulation of fluids in the tissues and muscles. Bloody urine was also present due to the severity of the tissue damage. Multiple organ failure was anticipated. Severe sloughing took place due to the tissue trauma.
Photizo treatment was given daily and no other treatments were given in conjunction with this, as the Photizo was the only treatment the dog would tolerate.
The patient was discharged happy and healthy.
