The patient was presented with a very painful and swollen eye trauma injury caused by bite wounds from another dog. Due to the extensive intraocular bleeding and swelling, the owner was warned of possible enucleation.
Phototherapy was done once a day, for 3 minutes. The patient was kept on concurrent antibiotics and systemic anti-inflammatory drugs.
After only 5 phototherapy sessions, the swelling, bleeding and pain had subsided completely and the patient was sent home.
