Splash Paws Canine Rehabilitation Project’s vision is to help every dog that is with a rescue organisation in the south east of England to benefit from hydrotherapy if they need it. The Splash Paws Rescue Rehabilitation Project is not for profit, it has been set up for the sole purpose to help dogs in rescue.
When our director, Ruth Milner recently met Graham Cooper, owner of the award winning Splash Paws Rehabilitation Centre, we thought the project was such a great idea and we simply wanted to help them with the fund raising. Graham is passionate and very serious about the project and wants to be able to provide the best possible canine hydrotherapy for dogs in rescue, at the lowest cost to rescue organisations.
A Photizo Vetcare device has been donated to the project because light therapy treatment is non-invasive and highly beneficial to use on dogs prior to a hydrotherapy session. The effects will help in various ways such as increasing circulation, relaxing the muscles to help improve mobility and also provide natural pain relief. We are working with Splash Paws to help raise funds with Photizo such as money off Photizo vouchers which can be used for raffle prizes and a donation will made from every sale of Photizo Vetcare to members of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association.
Graham gave us some background on how he’s managed to get the project going;
“Physio-Tech have delivered and installed a new Premium Underwater Treadmill before a pound had been raised to pay for it, allowing us to bring this super project to life. We have secured a ‘working in Partnership’ with Burns Pet Nutrition, who have committed to donating 4kg of Burns Original Dog food to the charity of the dog we are working with… for every single hydrotherapy session the Rescue Rehabilitation Project delivers. The Burns Foundation have also donated £5000 toward the cost of the hydrotherapy room build.”
Graham now needs further sponsors or donations to help raise £16,000 to pay for the treadmill so if you are interested in being involved with this really innovative rehabilitation project, you can contact Graham Cooper email@example.com.
CHA members can contact us directly to order Photizo Vetcare and we will donate £10 for every unit sold to or by a Canine Hydrotherapy Association member.
