My name is Carol Collins and I specialise in Clinical Canine Massage to help rehabilitate your dog from injury as well as providing general maintenance and well-being for pet dogs, working dogs, competition dogs and of course senior dogs who may be slowing down and suffering from arthritis and muscular discomfort. Massage can release tight, painful, muscles, knots, trigger points and restrictive scar tissue all of which can cause referred pain. Canine massage is a drug-free, complementary therapy supporting the musculoskeletal system, providing pain relief and outstanding results can normally be seen within 1-3 treatments.
Soft tissue injuries are very common but can be incredibly debilitating for your dog. You may see symptoms such as limping/lameness, poor posture, gait irregularities, twitching skin, raised fur, slowing down, and general discomfort.
I trained for over two years with The Canine Massage Therapy Centre which provided me with an in-depth knowledge of Canine Anatomy and Physiology, and four disciplines of massage, including Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release. I am fully qualified and insured to provide treatments for your dog as well as being a proud member of the Canine Massage Guild.
I am based in Basingstoke and cover Hampshire, Berkshire and West Surrey, although I am happy to travel further afield or run a Group Session in your area by arrangement.
I offer mobile treatments and will travel to your home so that your dog can be comfortable in their own environment.
Please contact me for further information and to discuss how Affinity Canine Massage can help you and your canine friend find results you can see and your dog can feel.
In order to provide your dog with massage, I do need to receive consent from your vet as this is a legal requirement – you can find out why this is so important in my article here. I am more than happy to liaise directly with your vet or you can download a Veterinary Consent form on my website.
