Georgina is the owner and founder of Back on Track Equine and Back on Track Fitness and Therapy. Georgina has grown with horses, riding and driving horses. Horses have always played a large part in her life.
Georgina gained her BHS 1 & 2 whilst at school, and then moved onto graduate as an Equine Sports Science (BSc hons 2:1) student at the prestigious Hartpury College. The degree focused on both human and equine anatomy, physiology, therapy and nutrition. She then completed her human personal training and sports massage qualifications and worked in the leisure and tourism industry or a while, whilst competing with her Shire horses at county shows around the country.
A change in circumstances enabled Georgina to go on and complete the highly regarded International Therapy Examination Council Diploma in Equine Sports Massage, delivered by World Renown Veterinary Chartered Physiotherapist Mary Bromiley (MBE, FCSP, SRP, RPT). Georgina is a fully insured Equine Sports Massage therapist and a member of the Equine Sports Massage Association (ESMA).
Georgina is now a level four sports massage therapist with the Sports Therspy Association, she also holds certificates in human and equine Kinesiology Taping through RocktapeUK Rockdoc and Rockdoc Equine) and continues to carry out continuous professional development every year in both human and equine topics to maintain her skill set. Most recently if which was phototherapy in animals, light therapy is now often used as part of her treatment with horses as is the kinesiology taping.
As a keen sports person herself, Georgina works out regularly and understands the importance of a fit and healthy lifestyle for mind and body! (And sanity with three children now!)
Georgina will soon be opening her own therapy room and rehabilitation gym which will be her base for all human clients. She can work on fitness, rehabiltation, strength and conditioning with all her riders and other athletes, providing them with tailored programmes to work on at home and helping them reach peak performance.
