Holistic Equine Treatment
Contact: Esther Guard
Esther is a horse owner and horse lover herself and likes nothing more than spending time with her horses Barney and Beau. Esther learned to ride in her native country Germany and later moved to Great Britain which she now regards as home. Esther trained and qualified as a registered nurse, specialising in Mental Health. Esther retrained as a holistic equine massage therapist and has also completed various other equine related courses. Esther understands and values equine well-being and the importance of a holistic approach. Esther is able to combine her knowledge of behaviour gained in her previous profession, with her equine knowledge; this aids Esther to pay particular attention to the horses behaviour and body language. Often equine muscular discomfort is displayed in a change in behaviour which can easily be mistaken for “naughtiness”. The training to become a holistic equine massage therapist with LANTRA consisted of theoretical and practical sessions, as well as home studies with written assignments as well as case studies; culminating in practical and theoretical exams. Esther is a member of The National Association of Registered Equine Massage Therapists (N.A.R.E.M.T.). N.A.R.E.M.T. works to supervise and regulate the vast field of immediate and related studies to Equine Massage Therapy. Esther is a fully insured practitioner, DBS checked and works in accordance with the associations’ Code of Conduct, ensuring professionalism, competence & skill. Esther has undertaken CPD training with Rose Therapies in Kinesiology Taping.
