How does it work?

The cell is the building block of the body and if each cell can function at its best, the body will heal itself. This form of light therapy is actually Photobiomodulation or PBM, and utilises the healing power of red and near infrared light. This works by energising damaged cells and increasing your blood flow using highly beneficial wavelengths of LED light.

When red light therapy is applied quickly after an acute injury, the process of cell death is reversed which will lead to quicker healing and recovery after injury.

The proven effects after treatment with red light therapy are:

  • Increased energy in cells

  • Faster cellular regeneration

  • Prevention of cell death if treatment is applied within 4-6 hours of injury

  • Inflammation cleared and lymphatic activity increased

  • Circulation and immune system activity increased

  • Pain relief and calming effect from an increase in endorphins and serotonin in the body

  • Collagen production regulated

2. Damaged cell

With injury, age or disease, a normal cell is compromised. When a cell is compromised, the 'battery' of the cell is discharged, resulting in no energy being produced for normal function. A compromised cell also has insufficient amounts of nutrients and oxygen to sustain the cell, almost like a person being choked.

3. When Photizo is applied

When Photizo is applied, the 'battery' of the compromised cell immediately recharges. The surrounding inflammation is removed and adequate oxygen and nutrients are ensured.

4. Repaired cell

Now the cell is functioning normally again. The ‘battery’ is recharged, producing enough energy for normal functioning. The surrounding inflammation is removed, providing a healthy environment for the cell.
