Team Photizo supporting the 40th and Final Aviemore Sled Dog Rally

Mush Mush, Team Photizo joins 40th and Final Aviemore Sled Dog Rally 2024!

Every year since 1984, mushers from the UK have gathered in the forests around Aviemore for the biggest event in the British sled dog racing calendar, The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain Aviemore Sled Dog Rally January 27th-28th will be the 40th anniversary rally and also the last ever SHCGB Aviemore Rally. Team Photizo have been a proud joint sponsor with CSJ and Leucillin for several years and we’ve had the most incredible experience at this memorable prestigious mushing event in the UK sled dog racing calendar.

It's a huge effort by the organising team at Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain in conjunction with Forestry and Land Scotland. Massive special thanks to our amazing Ambassadors, Pete & Kaz Jones of Team Coldfeet who have been Chief Mushing Coordinators to organise the event and make sure the race is run on tip top forest trails around the beautiful Loch Morlich, in the shadows of the Cairngorm mountains on a designated cross-country ski course.

If there’s no snow at ground level for the event, the races still go on with mushers using a three-wheeled or four wheeled rigs. There are eight adult classes and two children’s classes and mushers range from just 8 years old to over 60. Along with the Siberian Huskies, race dogs include Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, Greenland Dogs and Canadian Eskimo Dogs – the pedigree breeds of dogs first bred to pull sleds in Arctic conditions hundreds of years ago.

All the husky teams will be heading up to this final 40th Rally to join in all the mushing fun so watch out on our Social Media for our updates on the rally highlights and lots of howling huskies!
