Caroline Hearn, Sports Massage Therapist, Writer and Tutor

In Caroline’s own words, “I was first introduced to Photizo by my holistic vet, who used one in her practice. I purchased one initially to use on my own dogs and horses, but soon found it invaluable for the canine and equine side of my business.

“I had remarkable results on a mare with an old hock injury caused by a kick in the field. The area was swollen and thickened and had lots of scar tissue causing a restricted movement, which also impacted on the way her hoof came in contact with the ground. This caused the hoof capsule to become distorted and she was intermittently lame.

“Within two weeks of using the Photizo Vetcare, the swelling of the hock area had gone down considerably and by week three, you had to study both hocks to see any difference in them.

“The Photizo became a valuable ‘tool’ in her recovery programme, so much so that her owners purchased a Vetcare unit of their own, which helps keep the mare much more comfortable and mobile.

“The Photizo unit is excellent for a mobile therapist, particularly when treating horses, as it is lightweight, cordless, quite to use and can even be charged in the car.

“The Vetcare is a valuable addition to my business and is so effective at treating senior patients, the less mobile, speeding up the healing of wounds, as well as faster recovery from injury – and as part of an injury prevention plan for working or competing dogs.

“I am really looking forward to the other models coming out, especially the Photizo Sport for my two-legged clients.”
